Jadaja Baxter Commits to Track & Field at University of South Florida

Congrats to Jadaja Baxter (Class of 2020), who has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in track & field at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Baxter will receive a full athletic scholarship from the Bulls, who are a member of the American Athletic Conference.  Baxter was recruited as a 200 meters runner and long jumper for the NCAA Division I team.
Riverwood Track & Field Head Coach Isaac Seals notes, "Jadaja is a very talented and competitive young lady. She currently holds three school records and has the potential to break the 100 meters and 200 meters school records. If Jadaja maintains her competitive edge she should do well on the collegiate level."
Baxter currently holds three Riverwood school records:  Long Jump, 4x100 Meter Relay, and 4x400 Meter Relay.  In 2019, she took first place in Long Jump in the 6-AAAAA region championship, and second place at the state championship.  She has been designated as a Team Captain for her senior year and has also received the Most Valuable Runner award. Baxter has been running track since the age of ten, when she began with the All Heart Track Club in Atlanta.
Jadaja is the daughter of Monica and Jimmy Baxter of Atlanta, both of whom are graduates of the University of South Florida. Jimmy Baxter played basketball and set program records in track & field (high jump) at USF.
