The Lady Raiders are excited to introduce head coach Tony Manning to the Riverwood community. Come meet Coach Manning on Monday evening, July 15 at 6pm in the Auditorium Lobby.
Coach Manning comes to the Raiders with more than ten years of high school, college, and professional basketball coaching experience.
Prior to coaching at Sandy Creek High School in Fayette County, he was the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Georgia Gwinnett College. From 2006-2010, Manning was a JV and Varsity coach at McIntosh High School. He served as an assistant coach with the Crescent Lightning, a WBA pro team, for the 2004-05 season.
A native of Wichita, Kansas, Manning lettered in basketball and also ran track in high school. South High School was back-to-back Class 6A Kansas State Basketball Champions his Junior & Senior years. At Pittsburg State, Manning earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in K-12 Health & Physical Education and played point guard for the Gorillas. Manning holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Strayer University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Coach Manning and his wife Shena have four children, Mike, Chris, Jay and Jana.
