New Pole Vault Records Set at Opening Meet

The Boys and Girls Track and Field team traveled to Douglasville for their first meet of the 2019 season on Saturday, February 23. Hosted by Chapel Hill High School, the Raiders had some outstanding, and record-breaking, performances at the All-Comers Invitational.

Congratulations to Kaleila Abrille and Nick West for their first place finishes in the pole vault. Both Abrille and West set new school records:
     *Abrille's 10'8" broke a 10-year old Girls Track and Field school pole vault record.
     *West's 13'8" broke an 18-year old Boys Track and Field school pole vault record


Additional All-Comers Invitational Highlights
Kaleb Patton placed 1st in the triple jump and 3rd in the high jump
Daniel Griffin placed 2nd in the pole vault
Austin Simmons placed 4th in the long jump
Eli Hoppenfeld placed 4th in the 1600m
Ronel Saintvil placed 6th in the 800m
The Boys 1600m relay team placed 6th (Ronel Saintvil, Devin James, Sam Jenkins, and Amir Reynolds)
Amir Reynolds placed 7th in the 400m

Lalah Hasbrouck placed 4th in the 300m hurdles and 7th in the high jump
Elle Mezzio placed 5th in the 1600m
The Girls 4x400m relay team placed 5th (Dominique Saintvil, Kennedy Simmons, Lelah Hasbrouck, and Kaleila Abrille)
Chloe Davis place 6th in the high jump
Dominique Saintvil placed 7th in the 200m
Majestic Gay placed 8th in the shot put

 

 
Next on the schedule, the Raiders travel to Union Grove High School for the Wolverine Relays on Saturday, March 2
